Statement of Faith

We believe in one God who is the Creator and the Sustainer of mankind and the universe, the One is who is eternal, all-knowing, all-present, and all-powerful, and who alone is worthy to receive the worship of his creatures. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Genesis 1:1, Hebrews 1:3, Deuteronomy 33:27, 1 John 3:20, Psalm 139:7-10, Matthew 19:26, Revelation 5:3-12)

We believe that God exists eternally in three persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, (Matthew 28:19)

We believe that Jesus Christ was and is the Son of God; that on earth He was fully God and fully Man. We believe he was conceived of the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary and lived a perfect, sinless life.  We believe that Jesus was crucified dead and buried for our offences, raised bodily from the dead for our justification, ascended into heaven, and is enthroned as Lord and Saviour at God’s right hand, continuing to intercede on our behalf in heaven, with the promise to return again in person, power and glory. (John 1:1-12 & 34, Matthew 1:18-21, Hebrews 4:15, John 19:18,30-42, 1 Corinthians 15:4, Romans 4:25, Acts 1:11, Acts 5:31, Hebrews 7:24-25, Mark 13:26)

We believe that man was created in the image of God, to know God, to glorify Him, and to enjoy him forever. (Genesis 1:26-27, John 17:3, Psalm 86:9, Psalm 16:11)

We believe that the Bible, the Old and New Testament scriptures, as originally given by God is His divinely inspired, infallible, inerrant and entirely trustworthy Word and the only authority in all matters of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16).

We believe in the reality of Satan as a being who rebelled against God and was cast down to earth; he is a deceiver and the father of lies. (Job 1:7, Isaiah 14:12, John 8:44, 2 Corinthians 11:14)

We believe that man has willfully rebelled against God.  The bible calls this rebellion sin.  As a result of sin, all individuals are born as guilty sinners, subject to God’s wrath, and in need of salvation. (Romans 5:19, Romans 3:23, John 3:36, Romans 6:23)

We believe that eternal salvation of sinful and lost humanity is possible only through the redemption that comes from the shed blood of Jesus, obtained by faith in Christ apart from works and is marked with/characterized by the renewal of the Holy Spirit (1 Peter 1:18-19, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5)

We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, has been – and continues to be – poured out by God to impart revelation of Jesus Christ, convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, and to guide the saints to live Christlike lives. (Acts 2:17, Acts 1:8, John 15:26, John 16:8, John 16:13)

We believe this same Spirit empowers the church to be effective witnesses for Christ, anointing them to preach the Gospel and operate in the supernatural spiritual gifts in order to edify the church, establish the Kingdom of God, and fulfill the Great Commission. (Matthew 3:11, John 1:33, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16, Matthew 28:18-20, Luke 34:46-49, Acts 1:5-8, Acts 2:1-4, 1 Corinthians 1:5-7, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, Ephesians 4:7-13, 1 Peter 4:10)

We believe that followers of Jesus Christ are called to be disciples of Jesus and to make disciples, setting an example for following the way of Jesus and inviting others to join us, receiving Jesus as their Saviour and Lord. (John 12:26, Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Peter 2:21, 2 Corinthians 4:5-6)

We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to fulfill the purposes of God, to judge both the living and the dead, bringing eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, ushering in a new heaven and a new earth. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, John 14:1-3, Zechariah 14:1-9, Acts 1:10-11, Luke 11:39, Revelation 20:6, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52)

We believe that the biblical institution of marriage is between one naturally born man and one naturally born woman, to the exclusion of all others (Matthew 19:5)
