Hebrews 5 says that Jesus learned obedience through suffering. The NT speaks a lot of suffering and his followers suffering alongside Jesus. Is this connected to our maturity in Christ? We continue in our study of Hebrews by looking at this in chapter 6.

We tend to skip over the genealogies in scripture; hard to pronounce names and we want to get to the parts with practical application. But we can learn a lot from these lists, how God worked redemption in lives and how he does in ours as well. Guest speaker Gene Enns digs into this and provides great observations from the genealogy in Matthew 1 and how it reveals that Jesus really is the end of the story.

We continue our study in Hebrews, looking at the end of chapter 4 and into chapter 5; wondering, can Jesus identify with me? How? Does he even get it? How is Jesus able to empathize with me? Important questions that we’ll touch on in this podcast.
